It’s confirmed, a ship by the name of Hawk I has transported cargo between Alpha I and Mingus I. This is a memorable day . The cargo consisted of water, weed, alcohol and gas. This basically means that inter-system trading now fully works
.
I’m going to spend the next couple of days working on the GP2X side of matters so that I can show you videos using the TV-Out mode ( supposing that I can fix the cable lol ).
I’m also working on the missions system, planning out the radar system, the detailed map system, and the long jump system.
Here goes yet another video, it shows more or less everything that I’ve been working on except for the detailed map info and the ship map info and jump engines ( as they aren’t fully operational yet.
There are a couple of minor bugs in the code but things are starting to look pretty good.
I know that I’m always using the same enemy ships and a similar formation set but that’s mainly because I haven’t had much time to create new ones
Collision detection is now sorted out and is much more precise ( not that it wasn’t precise before, but it’s much better now ). I’ve also managed to speed the engine up a little more and fix / clean a couple of bugs more… The enemy formation generation code is fixed too now.
I’ve disabled most of the enemy formation /attack waves as I’m rewriting it. In this video you will see 2 or 3 different enemy types and also what happens when we get to a station…
